Celebrates the rookie team exemplifying a young but strong partnership effort, as well as implementing the mission of FIRST to inspire students to learn more about science and technology. 

 Following the hackathon, all solutions submitted to the Universal Event will be evaluated by a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Using the NASA Space Apps judging criteria, the Universal Event Judges will select the top projects to advance to Global Judging. These teams will be known as “Global Nominees.”
